For a century, the Peacock Court Ballroom at The Hotel Mark Hopkins has been celebrated as the ballroom for dancing in San Francisco. In the 1920s and ’30s it was home to Anson Weeks and his Hotel Mark Hopkins Orchestra, whose broadcasts carried glamour and excitement across the nation, and later welcomed legends including Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, and Xavier Cugat.

Now, in its centennial year, The Hotel Mark Hopkins has chosen Alex Mendham & His Orchestra to usher in a new era of elegance with a glittering monthly residency. Known for their authenticity, elegance, and energy, Mendham’s orchestra has dazzled audiences from London to Hollywood, and now brings the golden age of music and dancing back to San Francisco’s most iconic ballroom.
